OT Driving Assessments
Our occupational therapist conducts a specialised driving evaluation to determine your physical, cognitive, and visual ability to drive safely. We begin with an off-road assessment at your home or preferred quiet location. This will be followed by an on-road assessment within your local area. To make the process easy, we organise a certified driving instructor and manage all coordination on your behalf. The full assessment—typically 2.5 to 3 hours, includes instructor fees and a detailed written report. We submit your results directly to NSW Transport and your referring doctor, and you’ll also receive a copy for your records.
Equipment Needs Assessment
We will conduct your equipment needs assessment at home or arrange a trial at the nearest store to ensure the right fit for your daily needs.
Functional Capacity/ADL Assessments
We assess your ability to carry out everyday activities and participate fully in your life roles. During the session, our occupational therapist identifies your strengths, challenges, and support needs across physical, cognitive, and psychosocial areas. Based on the assessment, we develop personalised recommendations to help you reach your goals and enhance your independence.
Service Streams
We provide sessions in your home, community location, or online through Telehealth—helping you save on travel costs and access therapy wherever you are.
Home Modifications
We visit your home to assess your modification needs and take accurate measurements and photos to plan suitable changes. After the assessment, we consult with certified builders to prepare detailed quotations for your review. Once you select a preferred option, we coordinate an on-site visit with the builder to finalise the design and ensure everything meets your requirements. Throughout the process, we stay by your side to make sure your home becomes safer, more accessible, and better suited to your needs.
Vehicle Modification Recommendations
We assess your vehicle to identify the best custom adaptations for your needs—helping you drive or travel safely and comfortably. Our recommendations make entering, exiting, and operating your car easier and more independent. Depending on the recommended modification, we will arrange a trial before finalising the funding application or payment.
